gentheft-200x400v2Still nothing in the MSM about the Tax Day Tea Parties, but a search for “tea party” on MSNBC surprisingly produced this article about Pajamas TV launching a “Generational Theft Contest.”

According to the press release:

“PJTV is looking for the best method or tool to forecast a bachelor’s degree holder’s annual income in 2014, 2019, 2024 and 2034 after factoring in the cost of current government programs, including TARP and TALF, and stimulus packages, including their associated interest payments, health-care reform, inflation, taxes, etc.”

The contest is aimed at college students and is designed to be a collaborative effort between the student and a professor, with a prize of $20,000 to be split between the two. PJTV.com goes on to detail the goals as:

“… to develop a method that can calculate the personal financial impact on a 2009 college graduate (with a bachelor’s degree) as a result of our national leaders implementing programs to mend and stimulate the U.S. economy. By 2014, 2019, 2024 and 2034, what can a 2009 college graduate with a bachelor’s degree forecast his/her income and purchasing power to be after factoring in the cost of current government programs to rebuild the economy?”
