The post of a Facebook friend of mine, paraphrasing and expanding on a comments from Rush Limbaugh, L. L. Brown IV:
Obama got us out of Iraq, except we’re still there. He closed GitMo, except it’s still open. He declared the war on terror over, except it isn’t. He brought transparency and ended the Cheney era of secrecy, except he didn’t. He returned accountability to government except he did the opposite and appointed more unaccountable czars than ever before. He returned us to fiscal sanity, except he has already run up more debt than every past President COMBINED. He brought the world together and used a multilateral inclusive strategy to get Europe and the global community to support our foreign policy. Except he didn’t and got less from our allies at the NATO and G-8 summits than Bush did. He ended the left-right battle and forged a centrist/ moderate path. Except he has divided the country more than ever and asked citizens to spy on each other and then e-mail him with what they find. Barack Obama lied, hope and change died.
FAIL. EPIC FAIL.
All that blaming Bush, and “failed Republican policies,” yet now that it’s his “baby” he’s seeing things for what they really are. He’s maintaining the “status quo” (a phrase he is so fond of using against the opposition) in some cases and LOSING GROUND in others.
I wonder how his efforts to quit smoking are going?
